New Year: Spanish not Chinese

We kind of had our own new year's feast in the weekend.
Spent most of the weekend at my parent's place and they had received this huge part of pork, jamon iberico or pata negra from Spain for New Year's, together with all kinds of other goodies like Manchego cheese (love that!), chorizo, lomo, olives, wine...

Although I'm not much of a meat lover, the ham is so divine it's too tempting. A lovely New Year's present I think!

Anyway, it was fun to get together with my parents and brother and his family again. The two boys (3 and 1/2) had grown a lot so it was good to have some cuddle and play time.

And now it's back to daily life again. Ingo is back in the Netherlands as well after working in China. Myself I have been struggling a bit lately to find balance in life, my body wasn't always cooperating in the past two weeks, it's hard to fit in everything I want/need to do (still readjusting from time to time... it's sometimes overwhelming), I have been having huge headaches lately etc. but I'm back in the rhythm again.
Back to gym and back to the plans I had for this year. Off we go :)

  1. That sounds delicious! I love to try different foods. My mother in law used to do a different ethnic food every year.

I'm sorry you're having headaches, that's not fun. I hope you can feel better soon.

  2. Take care of yourself. It's hard this time of year to get into the swing of things. We are getting more sun here now during the day, so I find that helps my mood out a lot. Otherwise, I feel sad and unmotivated. Hugs to you!!

  3. I'm speechless at those pictures! ;)

Hope you're able to find a rhythm soon. I get like that, too, when I try to tackle too many things/projects/goals. Happy New Year (chinese and otherwise)
